Joelle Nelson, PharmD, BCPS, is a clinical specialist in solid organ transplantation
at UF Health Shands Hospital. Dr. Nelson received her Doctor of Pharmacy
degree from Midwestern University College of Pharmacy in Glendale, Arizona. She
completed her pharmacy practice residency and specialty residency in solid organ transplantation at University Health System in San Antonio, TX in collaboration with the University of Texas College of Pharmacy and the University of Incarnate Word Feik School of Pharmacy, where she served as a clinical instructor. She is an active member of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy and the American Society of Transplantation.
Dr. Nelson’s current areas of interest include post-operative management of transplant recipients, organ donation awareness, and infection management of immunocompromised recipients.
Tara Veasey, PharmD, BCPS, is a clinical specialist in heart and lung transplant at UF Health Shands Hospital. Dr. Veasey received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Alabama and her Doctor of Pharmacy from Auburn University. She completed her pharmacy practice residency and her specialty residency in critical care at the Medical University of South Carolina.
Dr. Veasey’s current areas of interest include thoracic transplant immunosuppression, cardiothoracic surgery post-operative management, and anticoagulation for mechanical circulatory support.
