Preceptor Information

Amy F. Rosenberg, PharmD, BCPSAmy

Amy Rosenberg, PharmD, BCPS, is an assistant director for inpatient pharmacy operations at the UF Health Shands Hospital and clinical assistant professor at the University of Florida College of Pharmacy.

Dr. Rosenberg received her Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Florida College of Pharmacy. She completed her Pharmacy Practice residency and specialty residency in solid organ transplantation at the University of North Carolina Hospital. She is board-certified in pharmacotherapy. Prior to her current position, Dr. Rosenberg practiced as a solid organ transplant and medication safety clinical pharmacist.   Dr. Rosenberg’s current areas of interest and responsibility are pharmacy supply chain, automation, controlled substance security, finance, and drug policy/medication safety. She is a past president of the North Central Florida Society of Health Systems Pharmacists, past FSHP education council chair, and currently serves as a board elect member of the FSHP board of directors.


Lisa Thames, PharmD, BCPS

Lisa Thames, Pharm.D., BCPS, is Assistant Director, Clinical Pharmacy Services and Director, Education Programs at UF Health Shands Hospital in Gainesville, Florida. In addition, Dr. Thames serves as Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Florida College of Pharmacy.

Dr. Thames earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Florida College of Pharmacy. She completed her PGY1 Residency and PGY2 Pediatric Residency at University of Kentucky Healthcare. Dr. Thames formerly served as a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit clinical pharmacy specialist, Pediatric Medication Safety & Quality clinical pharmacy specialist, PGY1 residency program co-director, Chief of Pediatric Pharmacy Services, and PGY2 Pediatrics residency program director at UF Health Shands Hospital prior to her current role as Assistant Director of Clinical Pharmacy Services.

Dr. Thames has held various leadership positions including past Secretary and President of the North Central Florida Society of Health System Pharmacists (FSHP), founding steering committee member and past Chair of the regional Florida Residency Conference, council member on the UHC Pediatric Pharmacy Committee, and Board of Director for FSHP. Dr. Thames’ primary areas of interest include pediatric medication safety and pharmacy leadership.


Jamie Elsner Ziggas, PharmD, MS, BCOP

Jamie Elsner Ziggas

Jamie Ziggas, PharmD, MS, BCOP, is the PGY1 Pharmacy Residency Program Director and Education Coordinator for UF Health Shands Hospital. Dr. Ziggas also serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Florida College of Pharmacy. 

Dr. Ziggas earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy. She completed both her PGY1 Pharmacy Practice and PGY2 Oncology Specialty Residencies at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD. Dr. Ziggas formerly served as a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist practicing in Bone Marrow Transplant and Cellular Therapy prior to her current position. She has a strong passion for helping to shape the future of the profession through teaching pharmacy residents and students. Additionally, her professional interests include cellular therapeutics, the prevention and management of GVHD, supportive care strategies for patients with cancer, and pharmacy leadership, training, and professional education. Dr. Ziggas has served in numerous leadership roles within the American Society for Transplantation and Cellular Therapy (ASTCT) and the Hematology Oncology Pharmacy Association (HOPA).


Brooke Baggett, PharmD, MS, BCPS

Brooke Baggett, PharmD, MS, BCPS is the Assistant Director of Inpatient Pharmacy Services and serves as Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Florida College of Pharmacy. 

Dr. Baggett received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Lipscomb University College of Pharmacy in Nashville, TN. She completed her Health-System Pharmacy Administration and Leadership Residency at Cone Health in Greensboro, NC. During her residency, Dr. Baggett completed a masters in Pharmacy Administration and Leadership from UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy in Chapel Hill, NC. Prior to her Assistant Director role, Dr. Baggett formerly served as the Pharmacist Coordinator for Oncology Pharmacy Services at UF Health Shands Hospital. Dr. Baggett’s current areas of responsibility include oversight of pharmacy supply chain, automation, controlled substances, finance, 340B Program, drug policy, and medication safety.
